Stimulating Productivity 

Quadfin aims to empower people economically by supporting and funding poverty alleviation business programmes. The board of Quadfin has a passion for micro-finance lending that includes a range of support services for its clients through multiple local programs in targeted strategic urban and rural areas of Zimbabwe, and will eventually spread to other countries in the region (Africa). By the 5th year of operation, Quadfin expects to have impacted both directly and indirectly the lives of at least one million Zimbabweans in enhancing poverty alleviation through the following strategic goals:

  • Microfinance. This includes urban and rural lending through provision of diverse micro-finance services.
  • Community Investment. This comprises individual or group-owned small to medium scale businesses contributing in their communities.
  • Entrepreneurship. This involves small-business growth, technical and skills development.
  • Dynamic social network. This involves sharing resources, local and global interdependence, and mobilization of social networks.

As a Microfinance Institution, Quadfin intends to increase opportunities for the poor to access financial services by providing capital to aspiring entrepreneurs. Quadfin’s core values are enhancing their clients’ self-determination, serving as an ongoing financial resource for clients, and achieving significant outreach and financial self-sufficiency.

William Takundwa

William Takundwa

Board Chair

William holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Banking and International Finance from City University Business School, London, UK and a BEC National Diploma in Business Studies from Brooklyn Technical College, Birmingham, UK. He has over 28 years’ experience in banking and has worked for various banking institutions. He worked as Head of advances for Allied Banking Institution for over 5 years. He has experience in Review analyses of credit proposals, giving appropriate guidance to Business Units in matters pertaining to credit. Previously he has worked for a number of banking institutions at branch/ senior management positions.

Zibusiso Nkomo

Zibusiso has worked for a number of financial institutions, which include Barclays Bank and CBZ Bank, for a period stretching 35 years. A total of 25 years were at middle and senior management. Areas of experience include SME, Corporate lending, Treasury Management and Structured / Derivative Products. Positions held include Head of Treasury, Head of Structured Products, Divisional Head of Corporate Banking and Finance, Managing Director of an Asset Management Company. Professional qualifications include Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe Diploma and Institute of International Forex Traders.

Gideon Toronga

Gideon is one of the founders of Quadfin Financial Services. Gideon is a career banker having worked in the financial sector for over 18 years. He studied MBA (Nottingham Business School), A.C.C.A, BSc(Hons) in Applied Accounting –Oxford Brookes University (UK) and Associate Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe (AIBZ). His experience and passion for financial products will help steer the Quadfin ship to greater heights. Gideon is running the day to day operations of the entity occupying the post of Managing Director. Gideon is an energetic trader with a solid history of achievement in Treasury Management work. He is a motivated leader with strong organizational abilities. He is widely experienced in Relationship Management.

Joylyn Toronga

In addition to being one of the shareholders, Joylyn sits as committee member in the Risk, Audit and Remuneration Board Committee. She is passionate about human resources management and business administration. Joylyn is an entrepreneur in her own right with interest in children retail clothing and hand craft. She has a Secretariat Diploma and is currently studying her first degree in Business Administration.
